I haven't laughed so much in a long long time. OMG it was raunchy, yet funny.. and heartbreaking all at the same time. I was almost shocked to see sweet Lorelai Gilmore (Lauren Graham) as a bad girl. Her F$$$ me Santa lines had me almost cringing lol. And the Billy Bob Thronton Santa (aka alcoholic, dirty, no good loser) makes me want to keep my kid away from the Mall Santa Claus!!!

Billy Bob lives up to his usual self, I saw him on Sharon Osbourne's show the other day and he kind of grossed me out saying that he wanted to actually piss himself for the movie??!! Something tells me he didn't have to act too hard for this role. I was shocked that the talents of John Ritter and Bernie Mac weren't used to their full potential, they seemed to have rather bland roles in the movie. Like, why have them if they can't have really good roles? I mean anyone could have played them.. but hey that's just my opinion. (it was sad to see John Ritter in the movie knowing that this was his last movie ever)

Now, about that little boy, Thurman Merman (played by Brett Kelly), oh my gosh I felt so bad for him.. and then at the same time I was thinking, "Oh my gosh what parent in their right mind would allow their poor child to be in this moving playing this role??????????" I really question their judgement, this was definitely not a movie for a kid to see, the poor little guy was overweight and made fun of which would be enough to give the poor kid a complex and scar him for life.. I don't know. I really don't understand the whole "Hollywood" thing sometimes. Sure it's funny, sure it's a movie... but it's twisted sick humor.

After watching Bad Santa, I left the movie theater feeling dirty. lol

I saw it. I am not sure I'm a real diehard fan of the Lord of the Rings. I want to be.. don't get me wrong.. but there are just some things that I don't get. I think it's a guy thing.. and because I'm a girl I just don't enjoy these kinds of movies. Now, if you want me to tell you my favorite part of the movie I'm sure you'll all say, "WTF is wrong with this chick!" lol

I do have two complaints though. The previews lasted 30 minutes!!!!!!!!! Just when you thought the movie was going to start they started showing more previews and ads. I just don't get it. The other thing was that it just dragged on so slow. I guess I'm a spoiled movie fan who loves fast paced, get to the point and move on with it kind of movies. I swear they could have done it in 2 hours instead of three.. but hey who am I to tell them what to do.

If I had gone to see this at midnight last night like I had planned to do, I probably would have fallen asleep. (Don't hate me or bash me, I'm being totally honest.)

Now, another thing.. yea yea shut up. I think I have a thing for guys with dirty stringy hair, beards and the kind that look like they've not bathed in a couple weeks! What? Who? Huh? Well you know how I've got this Captain Jack Sparrow thing.. but I don't really like Johnny Depp outside of the character.. and I've got this thing for Aragorn but I'm not really ga-ga about Viggo Mortensen.. and at the end of the movie when Aragorn was all cleaned up and was crowned the king.. he just didn't have that "appeal" anymore. I don't even know why I'm writing about this aside from the fact that I find it amusing.

I'm giving in 4.5 stars only because I know everyone will bash me if I give it less *laugh*

I had high hopes for Cheaper by the Dozen. I love Steve Martin, Bonnie Hunt.. and my daughters love Ashton Kutcher and Hilary Duff. With big names and great previews we really thought we'd enjoy this movie.

Annie, age six, was very easily bored with the movie.. normally she's very attentive and chats a bit about what's going on. This was not the case with Cheaper by the Dozen, she didn't like it, was bored and the only thing that interested her was the frog named beans. (His mother's name was Pork - cute, huh?) Seeing the movie with her was tiresome and after about 2/3 of the way through she wanted to leave.

Now, me I gave it a shot.. I had high hopes and I really wanted to like it. But, the problem I had was that the movie was actually stressing me out lol. It was as though I was watching a nightmare unfold and there wasn't anything I could do about it. Okay, I know that sounds strange but this movie raised my blood pressure and my stress level, rather than entertaining me and making me laugh. Too many kids, too much chaos and just too much going on for me.

I'd give the movie 3 out of 5 stars because it tried, but just didn't guite do it for me.

Stepping out for a promotional gig, Michelle Williams attended the 10th Annual New York Times Arts & Leisure Weekend in New York City on Sunday (January 9).

Held at the Times Center, the lovely actress was joined by New York Times reporter Dave Itzkoff, and musician Lang Lang upon arriving to boost interest in her latest movie, "Blue Valentine".

Talking to HuffPost at the event, Miss Williams was asked a number of questions including her take on what the film says about relationships.

To this, Michelle replied, "I don't think there's a message. I don't think there's like a slogan or something that you're supposed to walk away from the movie with. That's one of the things that I like about it because it reminded me of life. Ryan [Gosling] was talking about the movie in this way, and I should probably let him talk about it, but I just thought that it was so ingenious, about it being like a whodunit."

She continued, "Like, if your friend is telling you about a breakup and you're constantly with her trying to understand what happened and you're looking for all the clues and you're pointing fingers, like, 'Well, that's because your mom treated you like such and such,' or, 'That's because you're always looking, trying to solve the mystery.' I think the same thing is true in life that's true in this movie, that you're left unfortunately with a question instead of an answer."

Tom returned to the set after a break for the holidays earlier in the week to film some action scenes alongside co-star Simon Pegg.

This is the first of a series of articles on celebrity philanthropists. Much celebrity gossip is written, but celebrities do good, volunteer, and give--just like non-celebrities. It's time to focus on the positive aspects of everyone's lives, including the rich and famous.

Denzel Washington is a two-time Academy-award winning actor, and he always delivers on and off screen. After he filmed the Great Debaters, a true story about a 1930s debate team, from the historically African American Willey College, he gave $1 million to the college to re-establish its debate team.

Washington also established the Pauletta and Denzel Washington Family Gifted Scholars Program in Neuroscience, named after him and his wife. Awards are given to students pursuing careers in neuroscience and are presented by the Washington family, including his children John, David, Katia, Olivia and Malcolm.

The Fisher House Foundation provides temporary housing to military families while their loved ones are receiving medical care, and the Foundation was awarded six figures of Denzel's personal funds. The program began with one house in 1990 and opened its 43^rd house in 2009.

Washington continues his long-time role as spokesperson for the Boys and Girls Clubs of America (BGCA) and helped launch the organization's recent, new mission of improving graduation rates for children across America. He speaks of the BCGA with great respect and credits it with saving his life, when he was an angry and confused teen.

Denzel is one of many celebrity philanthropists, and his giving spans diverse organizations and programs. When interviewed some years ago, along with Meryl Streep, he spoke of Jesus' anger with the money changers in the temple and how people who have huge amounts of money don't give enough of it away. He said perhaps those with fortunes who only want to make more could be compared to the money changers.

The eight-part miniseries didn't make the cut on the network, as a rep told THR, "While the film is produced and acted with the highest quality, after viewing the final product in its totality, we have concluded this dramatic interpretation is not a fit for the History brand."

I remember being 14 years old and going to see Bruce Springsteen in concert at Market Square Arena in Indianapolis, Indiana. It was 1984, in the middle of the winter and we had 7th row center seats. It was awesome!!

► Diets don't work. They never have and they never will. Choose a way of eating that you can adhere to for life, one that supports weight loss and management -- like the Mediterranean or Zone nutrition plans.

► Eat three light meals and two small snacks daily to support a high-functioning metabolism.

► Eat strategically. Eat starchier carbs in the morning or early afternoon, tapering them off throughout the day, so your last meal of the day is just protein and vegetables.

► Drink lots of water. If you have a problem with portion control, and most people do, make it a habit to drink a full glass of water before each meal.

►Do not use restriction in your meal plan unless you can't eat certain foods (pizza, sugar, cookies, bread) in moderation. Restriction only promotes the feeling of deprivation, which in turn pushes you to crave and obsess about the very foods you are trying to restrict.

Deciding to ring in 2011 in Sin City, Jennifer Lopez and Marc Anthony turned up at The Mirage Hotel in Las Vegas, Nevada on Friday night (December 31).

The lovely couple happily posed for a few pictures before grabbing up primo seats to take in the stage show The Beatles Love by Cirque du Soleil.

Aside from their NYE doings, Miss Lopez is gearing up for her debut as an "American Idol" judge when the show returns to FOX on January 19th.

Talking about J Lo and Steven Tyler as new members of the "Idol" team, host Ryan Seacrest told press, "The chemistry is fantastic. I had them over for dinner the night before the first tape day, and we all just hit it off. There's a lot of camaraderie. Steven and Jennifer are artists [and] who doesn't love Randy Jackson? He's huggable."

Disney's The Haunted Mansion was pretty good.. it was kind of hurried in parts as though they had quickly thrown it together to have it ready for Thanksgiving, but it was a decent movie nonetheless. Annie liked it and was only scared one time, when they were in the cemetary. A cool thing about the movie, the 4 heads that were singing.. we met those guys when we were at Walt Disney World for the Mickey's Not So Scary Halloween Party. They performed for us on the haunted river boat ride and we chatted with them. Kind of cool, and then immediately after we rode that ride, we went to the Haunted Mansion.

Eddie Murphy was kind of odd, it definitely wasn't his best work.. the kids were cool. The movie could have been better, but it was good enough. Definitely not the blockbuster Disney found in The Pirates of the Caribbean movie this summer.

With Brittany Spears and Snooki trending topics on website news portals, it is easy to bemoan 21st-century America. How debased we are to be obsessed with these cut-rate stars. In the good old days -- 18th-century Britain, say -- no one was consumed with propped up figures of no repute.

Wrong, says Fred Inglis' charming if recondite book, "A Short History of Celebrity," which argues that this preoccupation is 250 years old. Inglis, a professor at the University of Warwick, argues that celebrity "combines knowability with distance."

He points to the London theater, particularly David Garrick, as the starting gun. An actor and impresario, Garrick made Drury Lane Theatre a spectacle as well as a serious venue for Shakespeare. Acting, while admired, was considered licentious, and Garrick was a source of gossip as well as admiration:

"This playing-on-both-sides is probably the predominant structure giving the concept of celebrity its multiple moral force. The word carries both denigration and acknowledgement; its mere presence invites instinctive salaciousness and fastidious withdrawal. It at once attributes charisma and strips it off."

Inglis visits 19th-century Paris on his tour of celebrity history, discussing Baron Haussmann, Baudelaire and Sarah Bernhardt, among others. He moves to the 20th-century dictators, "no doubt the supreme celebrity." Of Stalin, Mussolini and Hitler he writes, "the evil trinity left deep deposits in all cultural sensibilities; the crowd remains an active and unpredictable force in politics, and the single, celebrated politician still thrills and is thrilled by the acclaim of the populace, physically gathered in one place to cheer, to be heartened, to be roused and merged in one."

This book's final section takes up Hollywood's studio system -- John Wayne, Cary Grant, Marilyn Monroe and others, and expands to sports stars. Inglis discusses athletes who never fell prey to the public's desire to tear them down after they have built them up, such as the great golfer Bobby Jones.

Few today, Inglis states, can inhabit that same position. But one, he notes, is an exception: Tiger Woods. There "can be no doubting that Woods' convincing composition of quietness, modesty, perfect play, and resolute character matched up to Bobby Jones's great example."

Inglis spent years researching this book, but in missing the latest chapter of the Tiger Woods story, he makes his book more convincing. Money, he argues, is what has changed celebrity over time.

The mountains of cash now overprotect celebrities and mark the difference between, say, Lord Byron and LeBron James. Money is the root of celebrity evil today, and the reason why we so viciously attack our former heroes.

Celebrities "are lit by the shimmering phosphorescence of success, and people first follow them, and then pelt them," Inglis writes in his knowledgeable, if dry treatment.
